God Is Triune: So We Are Communal
That they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
God has always existed in perfect trinitarian community. It was out of that community He created humanity, and His desire to reflect His image is expressed in the community we call the church. The Trinity refers to one God, eternally existing in three equally divine persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who know, love, and glorify one another. These truths about God shape what it means to be human and live in community.
What does it look like?
Once a church gets to be a certain size, it’s increasingly harder to know other people and be known by them. Community Groups are small groups of people that meet on a regular basis and share life with one another. Community Groups allow people to know each other well. In these groups, people open their homes and hearts, share a meal, tell their story, grow in grace, and learn to embody the good news of God’s Kingdom in tangible ways.
