JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Summary
The Technical Director’s role is to participate in our mission to be “disciples of Jesus who multiply disciples together for God’s glory, our joy and the good of the world.” Reporting directly to Pastor Nick Del Degan, the Tech Director ensures that the technological elements used for each worship gathering is led in such a way that God’s glory is magnified and the hearts of people are moved to worship. They lead teams of volunteers to skillfully use sound, lighting, graphics, and video to that end.
Qualifications
• Active Trinity West Seattle member as outlined in the membership covenant.
• Fulfill the character qualifications of a Deacon as taught in the Scriptures.
• Prior experience in leading production teams and maintaining production equipment.
• Proficient at multitasking, time management, prioritizing and organization.
• Ability to work with and maintain positive and loyal relationships with others.
• Experience as a leader and recruiter of volunteers in all areas of music and production.
• Ability to build teams and equip leaders to lead ministries.

• Proficient in sound, lighting, graphics (ProPresenter), video (Black Magic), and Planning Center Online
SCOPE
• Build the necessary production teams to carry out in-person worship service and livestream on Sunday.
• Plan and coordinate all worship services in consultation with the Associate Pastor.
• Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals as necessary.
• Develop annual ministry plans that are in line with the church mission and vision and evaluate regularly how goals have been attained or modify as needed.
• Enlist, recruit, equip, and train all volunteer personnel to accomplish the tasks necessary to have a vibrant, spiritually healthy, and effective Production Team.
• Oversee the production of all “Special Events” including Christmas, Easter, Member Meetings, Worship Nights and others as they occur.
• Maintain and improve the production equipment as a servant and steward
• Ensure weddings and funerals have sufficient, trained personnel (paid position)
Schedule
• 20 hours per week.
• Sunday 7am-2pm, Monday 9am-3pm (including Monday staff meetings), Thursday 5pm-9pm (setup and rehearsal).
• All other hours Monday-Saturday: flexible to meet job requirements.
Pay and Benefits
• Hourly pay based on national average wages for part time staff, previous experience, and Seattle’s cost of living.
• 1 hour of paid time off (PTO) for every 40 hours worked (to be used within the calendar year with no carry over)
• 1 hour of paid medical/sick days for every 40 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of medical sick days to carry over into the next calendar year.
• Paid Holidays to include MLK Jr., President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
